Adult Choir: The Adult Choir meets for rehearsals on Thursday nights from 7:30pm-9pm, warm-ups from 11:00am-11:20am on Sunday mornings, and presentations at the 11:30am Mass each Sunday. This non-auditioned group welcomes anyone who wishes to sing (ages 15+) – whether you have never sang with a choir before, do not read music, or are a professional singer, the Adult Choir is a place for all to worship through song. The Adult Choir presents a wide array of repertoire, ranging from Renaissance Motets to Contemporary Christian songs, in addition to the weekly selection of hymns.
Festival of Carols: The Festival of Carols is one of Guardian Angel Church’s most beloved events. This festival includes the Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, a reenactment of the Nativity Story, and of course, great music. Rehearsals begin at the end of November, and take place in the church from 1pm-2:30pm each week until the presentation. Festival of Carols is open to all ages – there is something for everyone to do!
Living Stations of the Cross: The Living Stations of the Cross is Guardian Angel Church’s way of ushering in Holy Week. The youth of our parish lead us through a moving reenactment of the Passion of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, featuring Gospel readings, Contemporary Christian music, poetry and other forms of Christian art, all meant to set the stage for the miraculous week that we are about to live through ourselves. Due to the intense nature of this event, youth in grades 7-12 are invited to participate. Whether you sing, act, or read, there is something for everyone to do.
