On Wednesday, December 1st our Confirmation class gathered together with parishioners for an Advent Holy Hour of Adoration! A Holy Hour, a tradition begun in 1674, is an hour of prayer, song and reflection in the church with the Eucharist exposed in a monstrance (highly decorated case) for veneration. It is a very special time to relax in the presence of the Lord- a welcome departure from the busyness of the season! Our music ministry provided some beautiful new songs for quiet reflection- thank you Brenda and Klajdi! Our theme was “Advent Transformation,” and everyone present had a chance to create a clay symbol of their call to spiritual transformation during this prayerful season.
